Fellowes Integrates Air Purification and Contract Interiors Businesses, Shifts Toward Holistic Indoor Environmental Quality Solutions

In 2025, Fellowes merged its air purification business with its contract interiors business, including ESI and Trendway, into a single division, advancing integrated purification solutions and configurable furniture with indoor environmental quality as the central theme, and showcasing product synergy through its Chicago experience center. ¹

In 2025, Fellowes integrated its previously independently operated air purification business with its contract interiors business, which includes ESI and Trendway, into a single division; previously, each business had its own product portfolio, customers and market perspective.

Pete Scheidler, General Manager of Fellowes' interiors business, said the company re-examined how its 3 business lines—modular walls, office accessories and air quality management—could work together, and the concept of indoor environmental quality thus became the integrating idea.

In air purification, Fellowes is advancing integrated purification solutions with the goal of more fully integrating into building air handling systems; in furniture, it emphasizes configurability and customization, giving customers more flexibility while maintaining fast delivery capability.

Scheidler said Fellowes is developing solutions that balance multiple factors, helping building owners consider energy consumption and operating costs while managing indoor pollutants.

Fellowes is giving customers more choices in how products are configured, expanding customization beyond standardized products without giving up the inventory and delivery capabilities that support its business.

Fellowes has a Design & Experience Center in Chicago, which Scheidler said goes beyond a traditional showroom: designers can experience product form, function and variety firsthand and explore combinations of materials and finishes.
