MillerKnoll's board unanimously approved the appointment of Jeff Stutz as chief executive officer on October 21, effective immediately; he also joins the board, following the transition after the former CEO's retirement on June 30.
MillerKnoll has appointed Jeff Stutz as chief executive officer, ending a four-month interim term and placing a longtime company executive at the helm of the large global contract furniture company.
The company's board of directors unanimously approved the appointment on October 21, effective immediately, and Stutz also joins the board. The transition began with the retirement of former CEO Andi Owen on June 30.
Stutz is an internal promotion, having been with the company since 2001, including more than a decade as chief financial officer.
Board chair Hoke cited Stutz's performance during his interim CEO tenure, crediting him with improvements in operating profit, margin and earnings.
Stutz set out priorities for the next phase, including cost management, improving the balance sheet and strengthening execution.
For industry partners such as dealers and manufacturers, the appointment clarifies the company's leadership after months of transition.
